Equality Duty

We are proud of our work in school to promote equality of opportunity for all our pupils.

Eliminating discrimination and other conduct that is prohibited by the Act

  •          Annual stakeholders meeting to review work in the previous 12 months and agree objectives for the next 12 months
  •          Staff training in Autumn term 2012 on homophobic bullying
  •          All school policies state children are treated equally
  •          Governor and staff training on the Equality Act

 Advancing equality of opportunity between people who share a protected characteristic and people who do not share it

  •          All boys and girls encouraged to attend out of school activities
  •          Disabled pupils provided with appropriate interventions to support them in school
  •          Data collected to monitor Narrowing the Gap

Holy Trinity provides a broad and balanced curriculum, which includes many opportunities to foster good relationships between people who share a protected characteristic and people who do not share it. We have strong links with Trinity Fold, close links with local secondary schools( sporting activities, gifted and talented enhancement sessions, subject specific teaching,) whole school initiatives (eg No Pens Wednesday, Home Coming Parade, Global awareness week, Dream Job Day)
