Please watch the videos below for more details about Blended Learning.
At 9am each morning, teachers will release a timetable for the day. This will confirm the learning activities planned for the whole day and timings.
Teachers will post videos and activities at the planned times to guide your child's learning. They will be online throughout the day to provide feedback on the work children complete.
Key Stage 1
At 9am each morning, teachers will release a timetable for the day via the Seesaw Class app (details and links to download these apps can be found below).
This timetable will confirm the planned learning activities for the day. Teachers will post videos and activities at the scheduled time to guide your child's learning. They will be online throughout the day to provide feedback on the work children complete.
Key Stage 2
At 9am each morning, the children will join their teacher for registration via the Microsoft Teams app, which is installed on the tablets they bring home from school (details and links to download these apps can be found below).
In this meeting, a timetable for the day will be shared. Teachers will be online at the start of each lesson for direct teaching over Microsoft Teams. Teachers will then set work through the Seesaw Class app for children to complete independently and post back for marking. Teachers will monitor each lesson and provide marking and feedback to work children complete.
In EYFS and Key Stage 1, a daily timetable is shared at 9am each day to confirm the planned learning activities.
In Key Stage 2, a daily timetable is shared each morning at 9am, as children take part in morning registration via the Microsoft Teams app on the devices they bring home from school.
In Key Stage 2, teacher will start a lesson at the scheduled times. If children are waiting to be admitted to the lesson, the teachers will be aware of this and allow the children access at the earliest possible moment.
This may be due to your home wifi or broadband connection. If so, we are unable to help with this.
We suggest moving the tablet closer to your router, or limiting the amount of other devices connected to the network at the same time.
It may be the case that you child's tablet has not been sufficiently charged and completely drained of power. Please charge the tablet via the mains socket for several hours.
Likewise, you may need to hold the power button for 10-15 seconds. This may feel like a long time, but maybe required if the tablet has previously been drained of all power.
If you have tried both options above, let school know and we can seek further IT support.
Your child's Username and Password can be found in the front of their school planners.
In the unlikely event that it is not there, please notify the class teacher or school office and we will locate it for you at the earliest possible moment.

No. KS2 children will be expected to be online at 9.00am for registration as they would in school. At this point the class teacher will share the timetable for the day, including when online teaching will occur, when activities will be available, and when work should be submitted for marking and feedback.
All children in KS2 will bring home a device should their bubble close, and should therefore be able to access all the work set.
As Foundation Stage/KS1 will not be having live lessons, there is some flexibility at what time lessons can be accessed and completed. They will be in the form of pre-recorded videos and set learning activities.
Yes, home learning activities completed during the day will be marked by teachers and feedback given.
In the same way children are expected to complete activities at school, we would expect online learning tasks to be completed at home, to ensure children do not fall behind with their learning.
Teaching staff will be available throughout the day at specified times to provide learning support and will share this with the timetable.
The school tablets supplied to children in KS2 are already set up to enable children to access the key apps they will need for home learning. However, these apps are accessible on any device with internet access.
Links to download these apps for each key stage can be found at the bottom of this webpage.
It is possible for children to access the live lessons by viewing the content, without a webcam or microphone, provided they have speakers/headphones, although it is worth noting they will not be able to contribute to discussion in the same way.
You do not have to sit with your child every second of the day, although you should be clearly present at registration for KS2 children.
You should be in the same room to support your child, as well as being available should school staff need to speak to you.
Apps installed on school tablets are linked to our school account. Unfortunately, you will not be able to reinstall them from home. Please contact our school office to arrange a suitable time to bring the device for reinstallation.
Alternately, if you have a personal device, you can download the app from the appropriate app store/website to access learning.
NOTE: if you are returning a tablet to school for reinstallation of an app, please travel alone where possible to limit the number of people attending school, and please wear a face mask and observe appropriate physical distancing. Staff will instruct you when to place the device and installation will take place whilst you wait in the picnic area.
Please check that the email address and password is typed in correctly. The email addresses are quite long and it is easy to make a mistake or miss a character. Some passwords have special characters which must be included.
If you have tried the above and it is still not working, please contact the school office. We will reset the password and notify you once completed.
