KS2 - In the News – News Crew!
Classes 9, 10, 11, 12, 13,14, 15 & 16
Tuesday – 3.25 pm to 4.15 pm
Mr Gill
In our club, we will be learning about the week's news and current events, discussing and debating themes, delving deeper and researching topics, as well as looking at news we might want to share. Learning about the world around us is really important.
KS2 - Choir Club
Classes 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 & 16

Come along and join Mrs Huby for a musical start to the day!
The choir are preparing for a performance at the Victoria Theatre in July as part of Calderdale Voices Together 2024. What an experience!
Code Club – Year 5 & 6
Classes 13, 14, 15 & 16
Tuesday 3.20 pm – 4.15 pm

At Code Club we will follow a timetable and have guidelines as to how we work and what we work on. If you would like to learn more about coding and/or understand more please join this club
Year 4, 5 & 6 Cricket Club
Classes 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 & 16
Thursday – 3.20 pm to 4.15 pm

Do you already play cricket and more practise or would you like to learn more about the game from the basics up. We would be happy to see you at Cricket Club. We will be practising our batting, bowling and fielding.
Year 3 & 4 Gymnastics Club – BY INVITATION ONLY
Classes 9, 10, 11 & 12
Thursday – 3.20 pm to 4.15 pm

Miss Bowers Gymnastics Club will be continuing for another term, children will be invited to attend by separate letter. Please do not make payment unless your child has been invited to attend.
Year 3 & 4 Girls Dance – Commercial
Classes 9, 10, 11 & 12
Thursday 3.20 pm to 4.15 pm
Miss Sigsworth
Commercial Dance is a style of dance which has been designed to be performed in front of an audience and can include lots of types of dance from hip-hop to jazz, tap to ballet. Commercial dancers need lots of energy and precision to make our routines look effortless. If you would like to be a member of our dance club please put your name on the club slip.
Year 4 - Purple Mash
Classes 11 and 12
Monday – 3.20 pm to 4.15 pm

Purple Mash is an online learning tool which helps children’s creativity to flourish. The children can use Purple Mash to create expressive multi-media stories, make their own games, paint a picture or compose songs. It also allows children to explore and enhance their knowledge in a fun and creative way. We will be exploring Purple Mash and all the different, fun activities available.
Year 4, 5 & 6 – Ultimate Frisbee
Classes 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 & 16
Monday – 3.20 pm to 4.15 pm

Ultimate Frisbee or Ultimate as it is now known is a fast moving non-contact team sport. Our players will need to have lots of speed, stamina and agility. We will play on a pitch similar in size to a football pitch – we will be playing outdoors.
Year 1 & 2 – Parachute Club
Classes 5, 6, 7 & 8
Monday – 3.15 pm to 4.00 pm

Come and join our Parachute Club. We will get the parachutes out of our PE store, if it’s good weather we will go outside and play lots of fun games.
Year 4, 5 & 6 Athletics Club
Classes 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 & 16

Do you like to watch athletics on the TV and wonder if you could do some of the events in track and field. Why not join our athletics club and give it a go. We will be learning all about the different events and getting our apparatus out of the PE store so we can have a go.
Year 1 & 2 Puzzle Club
Classes 5, 6, 7 & 8
Wednesday – 3.15 pm to 4.00 pm

Do you like playing puzzles and games with your friends and family? If you do then this may be the club for you. We will be playing some familiar games and maybe some new ones too.
Year 4, 5 & 6 Tag Rugby
Classes 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 & 16
Wednesday – 3.20 pm – 4.15 pm
Mr Greenwood
Tag Rugby is similar to Rugby League or Touch Rugby. We will make up two teams, one attacking and one defending. The attacking team will all have Velcro strips attached to them (tags) and attempt to dodge, evade and pass a rugby ball and try to score without the defenders preventing them by ‘tagging’ pulling one of the tags off. If you would like to give Tag Rugby a go, please put your name down for this club.
Year 5 & 6 – Girls football Development – BY INVITATION ONLY
Classes 13, 14, 15 & 16
Friday – 3.20 pm to 4.15 pm

Mr Greenwood’s team will be building on the work done in previous girls football clubs which have been run after school. A separate letter will be coming home to the girls who are being invited to join.
