Adverse Weather Procedures

In the event of adverse weather conditions we will do all we can to stay open if this is at all possible, taking full account of the health and safety of staff, pupils and parents.

If there is heavy snowfall overnight a member of the senior leadership team and the site supervisor will arrive early to school and review the premises and make a decision on the safety and operational needs of the school.  

 In the event of closure we will notify parents and carers by:

  • text message and email
  • bulletin on social media (Twitter/Facebook)

If weather conditions worsen during the school day and it becomes necessary to close school, parents and carers will be notified by text message. Under these circumstances we would appreciate children being collected as soon as possible. Any children who cannot be collected will be cared for in school until arrangements can be made for them to get home safely.
